Me and you, and my medication

Bad boy is the first person I’ve met who doesn’t automatically assume or ask of I’ve forgotten to take my pills when I’m upset or having a bad day. At first I thought it was fantastic.

Then him and my family had a discussion over dinner about over medication and how most people on medications like mine didn’t really need them.

My mouth dropped.

I brought it up later, pointing out that I had been miserable the weeks prior without my medications. His response? Of course I would since my body now needed the medications to function properly.

I just shut my mouth and went back to reading my book. As long as he loves me and makes me happy it isn’t worth worrying about.

And I’ve never been happier, so nothing else matters.

  1. Erica Says:

Everyone is entitled to having their own opinion about medication and whatnot. As long as you guys are happy and its not a major issue I see no concern.
Personally I’m all for the medication if it makes the person feel better. It’s proven to work (in most cases)

  2. Paul Says:

I agree with Erica, but it’s sad that there’s still stigmas attached to taking meds that can help you feel better.
